Yesterday when Chloe came into our room after waking I asked her what we were going to do today and she declared "Go Netties House!". Nettie (and Kelv) are wonderful family friends (who are like family to us). Nettie was the one who inspired me to do interior design (not that I have done much with it) as she is super talented with her interior designs and hubby used to board in her home while he was studying at Uni and Nettie and Kelv were wonderful Young Adult mentors for myself and hubby when growing up. For over a year Nettie and Kelv have been building a home they co-designed (Kelv is an architect) and during that time they have been living in a home Hubby and I renovated.
When we last visited the house Nettie and Kelv had moved all their belongings as they had finally been able to move into their gorgeous (almost finished) new home and Chloe was quite concerned Nettie wasn't home and wandered the rooms asking "where Nettie gone?" so I told her we could visit her in her new house later. Sunday we caught up with Nettie at church and she invited us out for a visit so I wasn't surprised when Chloe wanted to go to Netties on Monday but thought it best to wait for a reasonable time to call her to see if it was ok to visit. After getting the ok to visit we set off - Chloe was just about bursting she was so excited to visit.

Chloe's "smile" at the moment |
When we arrived we were given the grand tour although Chloe was more interested in where the toys were now kept. The house was just what you would expect from Nettie - fantastic storage, a luxury bath, plenty of space, a master chef kitchen (perfect for Nettie as she is an AWESOME COOK!), open plan living and just about every fantastic idea you can think of all packed into the new home - with a few things to be finished (always the way when building and renovating). If you want to see more head on over to
Netties blog and take a peek - I love the whole wall of kitchen storage! It was so nice to get out of the house and routine for the day and especially to catch up with Nettie as we haven't chatted like that in ages! And when it was time to go Chloe was disappointed although she fell asleep on the way home - unfortunately she woke when I brought her inside where she asked "Go Netties house gen? PLEASE mummy?!" (Go to Netties house again) She loves her Aunty Nettie! :)
