Love With All Your Heart

I am excited to release a new pattern from Clares Place.  These cushions made it into the August 2011 Homespun issue and I am excited to now be able to release them to you.

Cushions are a great way to brighten any room and this set of four will do just that!
The unique embroidery and applique designs are easy to sew and would look equally beautiful in fresh and funky fabrics or vintage prints.

Why not make one or more as a gift for a treasured friend or team them with the Jaynes Love quilt.

I really enjoyed making these cushions because making something on a smaller scale (although I will ALWAYS love making quilts) was a quick rewarding project.
These cushions now live with my wonderful sister in law teamed with her Jaynes Love quilt and I am told they look fantastic together.

Busy Sewing

I have been trying really hard to get a few finishes done this week because my work in progress pile seems to be growing and growing.

Lucky for me the backing and border fabric for the above quilt arrived this week (Sorry I only have a sneek peek of this quilt at the moment as the pattern is in the making).

What do you think of the backing?  I really wanted to use up some scraps from the front of the quilt.

Now I just have to get some wadding and then it is off to the quilter for this baby.
The fabrics in this quilt are from Amy Butler's Soul Blossoms range.

Playing with Soul Blossoms

How beautiful is the new Amy Butler Soul Blossoms range of fabrics?!  I have to admit when I first saw the range on the computer I really wasn't taken with it.  Sometimes the computer images really just don't do the fabrics justice and you need to see them in person!  With that said, when I did see the range in person I fell in LOVE.

The designs are so bright and fun (with no white/ light prints) and the range is perfect for a jellyroll quilt design I have been thinking of for some time, but haven't made yet.

Please note that the jellyroll only has 33 strips rather that 40 like Moda jellyrolls but this is plenty for what I have planned ;p

Jayne's Love - New Pattern and Giveaway!

This quilt was actually designed and made for my sister in law before Twinkle, Twinkle was even started. Jayne gave me the beautiful Amy Butler Love fabrics to use and was happy for me to use them any way I pleased. Yay - way too much fun!!!

Now the photoshoot. Fun too - but I am so not a photographer! My little princess was a great sport (as good as an 18 month can be) and humored me while I snapped away. Of all the photos taken many were not suitable but great for family snaps. My princess is so very cute (totally biased) and actually looks posed in a few shots. Let me tell you totally impossible to have her pose for me!
This quilt is all about Love!!! With beautiful hand stitched detail to give it that ‘little bit extra’,

it will add a special touch to any room and is perfect for snuggling under on cold winters days.

So why not give your room that handmade “love” today?

How beautiful is the quilting on this quilt? This quilt was taken to the quilter my sister in law uses. I am reluctant to tell you who she is as she is so good and I want to keep her to myself but think its only fair to share a good thing. Ok here goes....its Sarah from Patchworks Plus phew that was tough. (fingers crossed that now the secret is out Sarah will still have time to do my quilts! ;p )

And now giveaway time!
