'Best Friends' - New Quilt Pattern

Introducing... 'Best Friends'.

This quilt is especially dear to me as the quote describes the relationship my twin sis and I have together-

Everyone has a special friend, someone who is always there when times get tough and who knows you better than anyone else. This quilt was designed for my best friend who is always looking out for me, and who knows me so well that she can sing 'the song in (my) heart' back to me when I 'have forgotten the words'.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new Kate Spain Central Park fabric range and have been getting into using jellyrolls of late so I had to use the Kate Spain Jelly roll in this quilt. I think the colours are so fun and cheerful! The quilt features an embroidered panel and raw edge appliqué allowing you to have fun with a variety of quilting techniques.

And why not use some of the jellyroll off cuts to make a cute backing for your quilt?

'Best Friends' is on display at Esmes in Kings Meadows.  Jellyrolls/fabrics are available at Esmes (fabric and jellyroll), Patchworks Plus (jellyroll) and The Oz Material Girls (fabric)

Summer Charm + Giveaway

Introducing A NEW PATTERN… Summer Charm and a GIVEAWAY:

This quilt design was started from one charm pack in colours that I would not normally choose - PERFECT for a change in style.

It was great to get out of my comfort zone with these fabrics and I’m sure you will agree that the colours are bold but fun and work really well together.

So a little more about the quilt:
This handy sized quilt is perfect to use as a picnic rug. The zesty summer colours are refreshing and entice the summer fun to begin! ‘Summer Charm’ is a great beginner’s quilt to make from charm squares. Avid quilters can reduce their fabric scraps and quickly whip up this fun quilt.

We had lots of fun taking photos of this quilt and spending time together at the park.

Even the peacock wanted to get in on the action!

Right now I am having a giveaway over at Make it Perfect so head on over and leave a comment for your chance to win copies of my patterns (three chances to win!)

Twinkle, Twinkle

Introducing my very first pattern the TWINKLE, TWINKLE quilt. This quilt is perfect for a boy’s room but can be equally as stylish in a girl’s room too! With appealing nursery rhyme detail and raw edge appliqué this quilt is large enough to fit over a child’s single bed to keep them warm and toasty all night long! Why not use up your scraps (or buy some extra material) to make a beautiful panel for the back of your quilt as I have done.
This quilt is one your child will want to go to bed for!
