Sherbet Pips

I ordered a Sherbet Pips Jellyroll quite some time ago (well before the fabric was available off the bolt - yep THAT long ago) from Want it, Need it, Quilt Store.

When it arrived I felt the design I had in mind for it didn't really suit the fabric so the jellyroll (and design) was put aside while I worked on a few other projects.  A little later I came up with a new design for the jellyroll but only got so far when I again decided that it needed something else to make it work better so again aside it went.

I ended up getting some Charm squares from Fabric Patch to complete my design (some designs fall into place - others need a little more 'thinking time' to get them just right).  The backing is now finished and it has made its way to my wonderful quilter Sarah of Patchworks Plus

Sorry for all the sneak peeks!  All will be revealed later - I promise!!!

In other news my tummy is continuing to grow, the hospital bag is mostly packed and I think I am ready for the baby to come.  She is much lower than Chloe was at this stage and I think that she will be early like Chloe was (nine days early) but we will have to wait and see.  The due date is 7th October so it's not long now  anyway.  I am undecided as to if I want her to come early or not as I have so much work to do but the last few days I have had quite a bit of back pain and been very tired so it would be good to stop that too :s.  We will just have to wait and see :

Love the quilt, it looks beautiful! Yup I am like you, I want to be un-pregnant but I am not sure I want the baby to be here yet. Unfortunately she will be early in my case, I am due Oct 1st, but already have a scheduled Cesarean on September 22nd (thanks to complications). Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and I hope the back aches end for the both of us soon!

I found the last 4 weeks of all my preganancies were a pain in the back. A hot water bottle or better still a cushion sized (12-14" square) wheat bag did wonders for me.
All the sneak peeks make me want to see the completed quilt more. Lol, little appetisers!
Cheers,
Robyn
