Halloween is not really big here in our part of the world and
those who decorate their houses or go trick or treating is few and far
between. This year one of the mums
living in our street organised a trick or treat night for the kids. She letter dropped every house inviting them
to participate by providing treats for the children a few weeks in advance and
a reminder a few days before hand. For
those who didn’t want to participate they just had to leave a sign out the
front so we knew not to knock. All
children interested in participating were to meet with their parent(s) at the
bottom of the street and we all set off together.
The girls had a blast and almost every house in the street
participated. Some even dressed up for
the kids too!
It was such a lovely night
and I am hoping the tradition will continue for our street.
