Sometimes patterns don't go my way.

Today I have been trying to work through some of the patterns I have in various stages of production.  I counted ten on my desktop in various stages of being written up - that doesn't include the ridiculous amount of projects in my sketchbook :s

The good news is that one pattern is made up in beautiful Avignon fabrics from Riley Blake Designs and is set to be released shortly if the weather is kind to me and I can get hubby to assist in taking photos for the cover.  Stay posted for that :0

The bad news is that one of the patterns I had all written up and was in the 'testing' stage failed the test badly :(.  It is a pattern I have had in the sketchbook for ages and about a month ago it made it to the pattern writing phase.  It has kept me up endless nights as I  tried to  figure out how best to piece it together and today after completing the written side of the pattern I worked my way through it, hitting the seam ripper on a regular basis - FAIL :(.  This is the not so fun part of designing.  On the up side I was able to play with fabrics :)  These fabrics are by Surface Art and the lovely Katherine from FD Textiles sent them my way some time ago.  They have been sitting in my stash waiting for the perfect project.  Lucky I have enough fabric left for a few more tries. :)

Back to the drawing board!
